It is important that you understand some of the concepts about e-commerce before proceeding.

In order to accept a credit card either online or offline, you will need to establish a merchant account with a bank.

There are three kinds or Merchant Accounts:
 1)

Merchant Account with Off-Line transaction: Retail: card swiped or present at the point of sales. Discount Rate* normally run low between 1.55% to 2.01% (This will not apply to you)

*Discount Rate is the rate that a bank will deduct to your total sale ticket.
 2) Merchant Account with Off-Line transaction: Internet, Mail Order and Telephone order (MOTO).
 3) Merchant Account with On-Line transaction: Using virtual terminal.

For E-Commerce Solution, only merchant accounts type 2 and 3 is applicable to you.
